Dr. Ari Frenkel is a board-certified infectious disease physician and internist, who is also a medical writer, children’s book author, and musician. Due to the growing threat of antimicrobial-resistant organisms, Dr. Frenkel focused his career and passion for infectious disease on changing the way healthcare providers understand the underlying infections and treatment options for their patients. He successfully implemented antimicrobial stewardship programs, designed to reduce the over-utilization of antibiotics, in several hospitals. He later moved into a corporate role, providing antimicrobial stewardship programs to a large hospital system that had sixteen hospitals across the United States. With his two partners, Dr. Frenkel then formed Arkstone Medical Solutions, which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide intelligent solutions for infectious diseases. Arkstone provides many services including simplifying lab reports (cultures, PCR, or NGS) through the OneChoice Report/OneChoice Plus, consulting services for laboratories and lab equipment manufacturers and providing antimicrobial stewardship programs in outpatient, inpatient, and nursing home facilities.
