About Ari Rubenstein
I am co-founder and chief executive officer of Global Trading Systems (GTS), a New York-based automated market-maker and financial technology firm. I am also the co-founder of Strike Technologies, a commercial technology provider and R&D subsidiary of GTS. I began my career on the floor of the commodities exchange in New York City and have enjoyed watching and now helping to guide the modernization of today’s financial markets. In my leadership role at GTS, I head up day-to-day management and help develop new trading strategies while working alongside the firm’s other founding partners to oversee operations and strategic initiatives. In addition, through GTS , I am a founding member of the Modern Market Initiative (MMI). MMI is an industry group focused on demonstrating the benefits of algorithmic or quantitative trading—often referred to as high-frequency trading (HFT)—in today’s modern markets. I am a frequent collaborator with industry peers and regulators to ensure pragmatic, investor-first oversight of our financial markets, which keeps our markets at the forefront of the global capital marketsI am a graduate of the University of Vermont, currently living in Manhattan with my wife and three children.
