- Provide physiotherapy assessment for the residents and appropriate exercise programme.- Ensure that physiotherapy facilities and equipment are well maintained.- Maintain comprehensive and confidential physiotherapy records following the CSP standards- Manage clinical risk and carry out appropriate risk assessments.- Referral to the orthopedics department for residents who needed splints, to prevent further musculoskeletal complications.- Referral for bespoke wheelchairs to improve residents health and quality of life.- As I was a certificate manual handling instructor I was one of the staff in charge of providing training and supervision in manual handling tasks.- Provide information regarding prevention within work related musculoskeletal disorder.- Provide education and training for staff , volunteers, residents’ family, as appropriate, including advising on safe moving, handling and transference techniques. - Actively participating in multidisciplinary meetings on a regular basis. The purpose of those meetings were to discuss how to provide the best and most effective treatment and support for residents. In some cases that could include a resident's family member finding a way to acquire equipment to improve the quality of life for the resident.- Encouraging residents with an empathic attitude that resulted in some of them returning to regular physiotherapy sessions. Also allowing us to update their support equipment such as wheelchairs to enhance quality of life and well being.- Part of my daily duties was checking the physiotherapy equipment maintenance was up to date. When necessary, request replacement for them.
