Throughout my tenure at Coupa, I’ve been promoted twice and currently serve as the Director of Events Marketing. In addition to being the creative genius behind the unique and inspiring corporate, promotional, sales, incentive and industry events, I also spearhead venue research, manage multi-million dollar budgets, coordinate day-of logistics, define trade show strategy, and collaborate cross-functionally with our amazing marketing and sales teams. Some of my most notable achievements so far include:• Leading the planning and execution of a 1,500-person event at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco; the event space included tenting Union Square• Orchestrating Coupa’s annual industry conference in San Francisco and Europe; this event has grown from 500 to 1,500 people in just four years and is now the 2nd largest procurement conference in North America and growing in EMEA• Designing and implementing a global roadshow targeting 10+ cities around the world to increase market share and grow brand awareness, resulting in 58% conversion rate attendance, 55% attendance increase YoY• Creating the Coupa Connect program, a regional sales event aimed at enhancing sales enablement• Scouting, designing, and planning the Coupa Club incentive trip for the executive team, top 50 sales directors, and their guests; events included themed welcome parties, adventure excursions, and multi-cultural entertainment

As a promotions coordinator, I managed marketing events and initiatives for local radio stations, strategic advertising agencies, and local sports teams. My clients included Mix 106.5, Team Enterprises, Coakley Heagerty and the San Jose Earthquakes. Most notably, I conceptualized, build and managed the Tremorz, a promotional marketing team for the San Jose Earthquakes. Key responsibilities included: • Planning, coordinating and executing marketing and promotional events across the San Francisco Bay Area, including tradeshows, concerts, festivals, and private events• Partnering with marketing and community relations teams on promotional giveaways and advertising campaigns• Providing high-level client service throughout entire event planning process; addressed needs, managed expectations, and presented regular status reports• Directing set-up and takedown activities, including booth assembly, display creation, and sound checks

In this role, I directed account management and customer logistics initiatives across the Americas and APAC regions. This included cultivating lasting relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact, partnering cross-functionally with the sales, supply chain, and marketing departments, and coordinating team outings. Notable achievements included: • Participating in the Philips Lumileds Event Committee (PLEC) for two consecutive years• Planning and executing the annual company event for 500+ guests with a $500K budget • Assisting in worldwide sales conference coordination for 200+ attendees• Presenting hospitality lighting workshop at the annual sales conference
