Junior Software Engineer
CurrentWorking for a global leader in eDiscovery, document review, risk management, and legal consulting services. It supports multinational law firms and corporations using innovative software and managed services, backed by deep legal and regulatory expertise.In my current role, I contribute to a machine learning-based document review system aimed at automating and optimizing the identification of relevant documents from large datasets. The system leverages a patented support vector machine algorithm to reduce manual review time, labor, and increase accuracy.The project is divided into two key parts:- Core: Handles population indexing, training, testing, and sampling algorithms, providing APIs via Python, SciKitLearn, and Flask.- UI: Interfaces with Core APIs and is being revamped with Next.js on the frontend while maintaining Spring on the backend.Responsibilities:- Extended Material UI components to create a standardized and reusable component library.- Developed custom form components that automatically generate controlled and validated inputs based on configuration objects. As well as, simplified the usage of toast and dialog components through custom hooks.- Using the custom components to build pages using Next.Js. to create a seamless and modern user experience.Outcome:I gained experience working with international clients. I observed first hand and learned how to effectively communicate and collaborate remotely with foreign developers and project managers.
