bootup is an award-winning philanthropic organization focused on connecting, developing, and advancing women in engineering. We help female engineers achieve success by providing mentorship, job and growth opportunities, and resources, such as our 10-part bootcamp and 4-year plan for university students. We host mentorship events, professional development events, panels, motivational public speeches, conferences, and workshops with local organizations, universities, and community colleges.

An energy storage academic spin-out from UCLA Engineering, funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC). We developed the technology for the first Hybrid Compressed Air/Thermal Energy Storage pilot plant. I joined as one of the founding team members.My responsibilities included modeling steady-state and dynamic process simulations, plant optimizations, feasibility studies, determining specifications, sizing and selecting equipment, creating a cost-effective plant design, failure analysis, developing test plans and manuals, proposing/evaluating/submitting invention documentation for patenting, creating plant drawings, supervising contractors, and grant proposal writing.

Exxon and Shell joint venture and one of California's largest oil and gas producers, accounting for nearly 25% of the state's production. I held positions as a Facilities Engineer for the gas gathering and compressor systems, and a Production Engineer for the well abandonment and pumping unit processes.My responsibilities included initiating and implementing capital field improvement and mechanical integrity projects (see projects below), troubleshooting operational issues and process upsets, developing and coordinating maintenance plans, leading failure analysis, technical recruiting and interviewing, community outreach, process optimization, equipment sizing, crew supervision, developing technical methodologies, automating processes, developing productivity and monitoring tools, creating technical methodologies and programs, and equipment selection.Lean Six Sigma Trained.

The Society of Women Engineers is a not-for-profit organization with over 40,000 members. I held executive board positions as President, Evening with Industry Chair, and Mentorship Chair.

I was an engineering intern for Distillation and Cracking Operations at the Phillips 66 refinery in Wilmington, Los Angeles, California. My projects spanned multiple units and included optimizing steam usage and heater excess oxygen targets, developing a water usage and flare monitoring tool, and coordinating legal requirements for a unit turnaround.

I received grant funding for the autonomous design of tissue engineering experiments and lab techniques to enhance direct control over stem cell differentiation.

I was an HVAC operations engineering intern on the Global Engineering Services Team at Abbott Laboratories headquarters located in Lake Bluff, IL. My responsibilities included determining filter change-out points for air handling systems, and estimating HVAC projects savings with an energy, material, and labor savings model.

I sat on the executive board and volunteered as a STEM tutor for multi-disciplinary engineering students through the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society.

Our team designed, experimented, and built a shoebox-sized car fueled and stopped purely by chemical reactions.
