The Manager of Sport ensure the quality, integrity, and growth of freeride competitions by overseeing rules of sport, event coordination, and handbooks updates to reflect the evolving landscape of the sport. Working closely with various committees, the Manager of Sport ensures seamless collaboration and communication between the Sport and Operations teams. Additionally, this position is vital in maintaining relationships with athletes, event organizers, and stakeholders, while ensuring that IFSA’s mission and values are upheld across all events.The Manager of Sport assists with key initiatives such as judging, education, and competition formats, while contributing to the success of major events like the Junior Freeride Championships and the Challenger Series. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the freeride community and delivering high-quality experiences for athletes.

Leadership of the Sport Development executive committee. Operational roles included: market research followed by the development of a series of competitive Freeride events in Quebec, these being the first in Eastern Canada. Lead fundraising campaigns. Built and maintained strong relationships with sponsors, resorts, clubs, coaches, athletes, parents and sport federations. Event manager prior, during and post events. Ensure the project’s sustainability.

Ran a nonprofit organisation’s logistics and administration. Hosted official meetings, gathered information, built contracts, budget tracking, membership management, online blog coordination, and other administrative duties.

Leadership of the Community Management executive committee. Roles included: digital marketing and management of the online presence (blog, newsletter and social media). Engagement and community development via organising events, training, while also improving membership benefits and experience.

Provide in-person training to a group of 25+ New Leaders. Mix of classroom setting, mock trip and field experience. Continuous mentoring of 10+ mentees throughout the year.

Design, logistics and quality assurance of travel itinerary and regional experience. Build and maintain strong stakeholders’ relationships. Regional leader and main point of contact of a 20+ people team.

Coordinate week-long high-end active trips (hiking & cycling) for groups of up to 26 guests. Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure an outstanding guest experience. Multi-hat role: interpretive guide, bus driver, bike mechanics, cook, and more
