Create systems and procedures for a property which opened Nov 2010 with 85 (now 98) villas and is scheduled to be a full-service resort with over 300 villas, restaurants, spa facilities and fitness center within the next 7-10 years. The system needs to function and be effective in the present with the ability to adapt easily to growth without major adjustments or modifications.  Creating policies and procedures related to accounting, finance and human resources which maximize benefits to the company, owners, employees and other related parties while making sure they adhere to government regulations and Wyndham standards PMS/POS system setup and integration with accounting software Providing financial direction to maximize profit for 98 villas estimated to generate over $7 million in gross revenue for 2013  Balancing the needs/desires of the various separate entities involved in the various aspects of the property as a whole. Every faction, whether sales, construction arm of the development, rental operations or the owners of completed villas, have individual goals which may not always be aligned with each other.

Analyze and design a system that would function efficiently, be fully integrated and allow for rapid growth. Converting QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system (including payroll) Creating accounting policies & procedures manuals from scratch IT functions such as maintaining the server, setting up new computers (mapping network drives, print drives, installing software, etc.), system backups and general problem solving Creating interface with Aloha POS and ERP to allow for daily importing and reporting of detailed sales, labor and statistical information

Responsible for monthly consolidation of 12 different property operations including: monthly financial statement preparation, intercompany reconciliations and compiling information for external audits and tax preparation. Oversight of all accounting functions as the Controller for the Corporate, California, Hawaii and Florida operations. These functions include financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and training of support staff. Special projects have included implementing a standardized chart of accounts, creating and making sure properties adhere to company policies and procedures, converting G/L and payroll processing to one in-house system (Microsoft NAV), creating standardized financial reports and training properties on the use and integration of accounting and various point-of-sale systems. Converted ADP payroll processing to an in-house payroll system (using Microsoft NAV) for 1,500 employees in 7 states in 2 ½ month timeframe. Reduced accounting staff by 30% while taking on the accounting operations for 2 multi-million dollar properties and all payroll functions, including tax preparation. Set-up accounting policies and procedures for new property operations in South Carolina and Florida.My employment at Premier Resorts provided a challenging and constantly changing environment which I found greatly rewarding.
