I dedicated time to help guide youth on their journey to understanding mental health and its effects on the lives of African Americans, specifically in Baltimore City. In this program, The Healing Youth Alliance, youth were being trained by mental health professionals in preparation to be contracted and compensated by outside organizations on mental health from their own perspective. • Evaluated needs, established clear objectives, and created plans to take action to achieve successful outcomes• Assisted youth in Microsoft Office• Assisted youth in public speaking and writing• Edited and instructed edits of drafts by youth • Teamwork with mental health professionals to educate and advocate for youth• Utilized and analyzed data and information from databases and public documents• Gathered and presented (verbally & written) comprehensive reports & information to groups of all sizes• Partnered with the Mayor’s Office and Baltimore City youth organizations such as “Heartbeats”
