With more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, business operations, project/program management, process analysis and improvement, fundraising, philantrhopic endeavors, and all that is needed the nonprofit business arena, my favoirte part will continue to be those whom I have the honor to work with, learn from, and support.The majority of my career has been in the nonprofit sector. I believe in building programs and services that bring people together. Working together, removing barriers, and listening to one another is the key to real systemic change in our society. I am able to drive a clear vision and align teams in strong core values. I strategically build initiatives that create spaces for ALL individuals to add value. Known as a leader who can facilitate hard conversations with key stakeholder groups,interal teams and individuals breaking down barriers through respect, compassion and calm education.Since 2005, I have served Monroe County's pregnant women and families through empathic servant leadership, strong transparent business practices, and Keys-driven programmatic implementation. We put pregnant women and families at the heart of every decision and action. I consider it my extreme pleasure to lead such a compassionate, dedicated, highly educated, women and family-centered professional team.I hold a Masters of Public Service Administration with a Nonprofit emphasis from the Bush School of Public Administration at Texas A&M University. During my time at the Coalition, I have attened numerous Nonprofit Business and Leadership trainings, become a Certified Labor Doula, Life and Parent Coach, and PSI certified in PMADs. Recognized by the Health Foundation of South Florida as a 2021 Inspiring Woman of Health; I believe it is my responsibility to work towards ensuring equitable access to health and well-being services for all. Away from the office I spend most of my time with my seven amazing teens/young adults who arrived in my life via the foster/adoption system. They have taught me so very much. When not parenting or working, I enjoy photography, reading, gardening, and genuinely filling my life with travel, good food, great friends, laughter and gratitude.Big journeys start with small steps and through my grassroots efforts I am working to build a world where everyone has a place to feel safe, valued, and respected.

This is being integrated into all policies and procedures of the organization; embracing and welcoming ideas, change, and equity.* Gained training to provide childbirth education and labor doula services, filling the gaps when neither resource existed. * Introduced strategically designed recruitment initiatives that bolstered DEI among teams within a community that is often homogenous, built flexibility into position requirements that allowed for the onboarding of mothers entering or returning to the workforce. * Developed and launched programs addressing Child Safety, PMADs, Transportation, Child Development, Healthy Babies, Labor and Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding and Loss of a Child. *Executed grant writing, strong fundraising efforts, and fiscal management to create a 6-month reserve, as well as an emergency fund, during a period of budget cuts and state holdbacks.* Seamlessly pivoted operations to meet the transportation needs of clients needing prenatal care following closure of public transportation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fostered partnerships and developed a transportation program that significantly increased total number of women receiving prenatal care in Monroe County. * Grew the organizational budget from $600,000 to $2,000,000 to support the needs of the community.* Transitioned the Coalition from a flat organization to an organization with a CEO, Leadership Team, and Program Team.
