I have loved medicine since I was in my youth. I have always known I wanted to work in the medical field and I found EMS on accident. The day I stepped out on the street as a new EMT, I knew this is what I wanted to do. I have had the opportunity to attend the University of Utah for my education. During that time, I worked at the University of Utah hospital, one of the most prestigious medical centers in the country. I decided to take an EMT class as an extra class one semester and shortly after, my major became EMS. I then went on to become a paramedic. I have worked for Uintah basin Medical Center on the ambulance service which has given me tremendous experience in the pre hospital environment which has paired well with my previous experience at the University of Utah. I also work for Unified Fire Authority which gives me the opportunity to see both the rural and urban side of EMS. I love that medicine is constantly changing and I love the opportunity to grow and learn each day.
