I am one of three co-founders of the KLYN Foundation created to support Ukraine after the Russian escalation of the war.I helped coordinate direct aid and care for displaced individuals in Ukraine.As our primary technologist I was in charge of architecting, setting up, and maintaining technical infrastructure to support day to day operations.I was also responsible for managing our network of volunteers performing various roles distributed across two continents.

In addition to writing and maintaining automated UI and API tests with our own internal framework and and DSL, we also wrote our own internal tools to make automation easier for all teams.As lead developer and architect of these products, my role was to provide my team with tools and direction that enabled them to provide automated testing to ensure quality for the rest of the company. I actively sought new technologies and taught them to my team so that we could implement them to improve automation and provide better integration with other teams. The proper implementation of these technologies allowed us to run and diagnose several thousand failing tests in a single workday.Using docker swarm and salt stack I restructured our selenium testing grid. Now we can resize from only a handful of selenium nodes to hundreds in a matter of minutes. This flexibility not only allowed us to execute a greater number of simultaneous tests, but also cut our spending on VPS almost in half. Additionally I authored python and bash scripts that build and deploy any version of Selenium, Selenium Video Node, Chrome, Firefox, and their appropriate drivers with a single command. Show less

At CMC Flex my role was to translate RPG programs written for AS400 servers to modern java. I was not assigned to a single team, and therefore became an expert on the high-level architecture of our various services. I used this knowledge to implement seamless interoperability between the new java services and the old RPG services. This allowed us to refactor individual services one at a time because they could still communicate with the other services that were still implemented in RPG.
