Adnan Riaz is the Managing Partner and Founder of Tarbela Capital, an alternative capital solutions firm. With over seventeen years of industry experience, Adnan has developed extensive expertise in public and private debt origination, derivatives, trading, acquisition financing, capital structure advisory, and debt restructuring.Prior to founding Tarbela Capital, Adnan spent thirteen years at Morgan Stanley, where he ultimately led the Debt Advisory practice within the Leveraged Finance Group. He started his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, holding various roles in Debt Advisory and Restructuring, Special Situations Sales and Trading, and Market Risk Management.Throughout his career, Adnan has successfully executed over $500 billion in financing, restructuring, workout, and liability management transactions across 35 countries. His diverse experience spans the global credit spectrum, covering multiple asset classes, currencies, industries, and market cycles.Adnan is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor, a designation that recognizes his high level of knowledge and proficiency in managing distressed and insolvent situations. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2006 and is a lecturer at his alma mater. Adnan currently resides in Ridgewood, New Jersey, with his wife and two young sons. In his personal time, he enjoys mixed martial arts, collecting world paper currency, traveling, and exploring developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
