Founded the software development subsystem at Dallas Formula Racing. Led teams to build software solutions that improve communication between vehicles, drivers, and engineers. Develop scripts for microcontrollers such as Arduinos and Raspberry Pis to interact with the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to harvest data, display it in real-time to the driver, and send over radio to the pit crew. This allows the team to understand how the car is behaving to improve overall performance and reliability.Researched data analysis techniques for vehicle dynamics to implement into applications to allow programs to automatically generate new datasets for the user to analyze.

Worked with optical character recognition (OCR) software to read VIN plates on vehicles. Developed image processing library to crop and binarize an image, then perform noise reduction to clean up the image to feed into Tesseract, an open source OCR. Also worked with Angular to develop a single page app to modernize an old solution for cleaner and more responsive UI. The application also had an AWS backend that used an API gateway routed to a Lambda function that persisted data in a DynamoDB table and returned a response back to the API gateway.

Worked with SQL to reduce duplicate data from multiple sources by unioning tables together and writing SQL scripts to find duplicates to merge and remove.Developed a solution in C# that linked to the SQL server to allow company employees to modify a table through a UI. This allowed employees to change the available options in multiple menu items so the developers did not have to manually edit the table.
