Control and monitoring of sPower's wind and solar generating facilities.

Directs system operation personnel in accordance with NERC Operating Policies; coordinates transmission service for native generation and interconnected company sales and purchases per FERC open access tariffs. Directs voltage control and line loading of system generating and transmission facilities.Responsible for switching, clearances, sectionalizing, restoration of entire company transmission system.*PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:1. Directs transmission switching, load shedding and generator loading to meet NERC Operating Policy requirements under normal and emergency conditions. Operating Authority for the transmission systems and generation stations. Performs security analysis. Directs generation dispatcher to make adjustments to generation for TLR or voltage constraints.2 Performs system contingency analysis for transmission generation system at regular intervals during shift to identify situations that result in line or transformer overloads or abnormal voltages. Initiates actions with transmission and generation system to avert unreliable operation.3. Voltage Regulation of company transmission system: Monitors Unit var loading and unit voltage schedule. 4. Monitors all critical transmission system alarms. Observes normal and emergency ratings. Initiates load curtailment, line loading relief and island operation programs with generation and Distribution Operators.5. Isolates all generation station, interconnects and transmission lines from permanent faults caused by storms or malfunctioning equipment by: Sectionalizing lines or equipment direct generating station control operators or switchmen in the operation of switches and equipment to isolate faulted areas. Procures and finalizes the necessary method of restoring equipment to normal &coordinate the same with other companies. Directs proper switching of equipment to insure the safety of line and maintenance crews, and electrical equipment.

•Supervised the safe construction, initial testing, and operation of a 1200 MW combined cycle plant. Plant consisted of 4 GE Frame 7e combustion turbines, 4 Alstom steam turbines and associated auxiliary equipment.
