We advise consumers and SME's to make their environment Smart, Safe and Simple again. Too many consumers get lost in their digitalised house, and search for simplicity again. And how happy they are if all is working and simple to use again!

My responsibilities include advising on the set up, format and management of online learning courses such as MOOC's (Massive Open Online Courses) and MOOR's (the Research equivalent for massive open online data collection). MOOC's rapidly become relevant for higher education such as universities, applied science universities, corporations and research institutes.

Cursio is an experience platform for those who are choosing a university or vocational study. It helps students to be with forming a well founded idea about themselves and what study to choose for their future.

StartupVoyage helps alumni and university dropouts to get the mindset, knowledge and hands-on experience to create their own startup team and build their own startup. Key is that StartupVoyage does not take in startups, we concentrate on individuals. We train them to become savy and experienced team members. The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FMG) promotes MOOC's to gain insight in new educational formats for Blended Learning with a mixture of online and offline didactic methods. The objective is to increase the quality of educational programs and increase efficiency of a high quality curriculum. My role as the initiator of the first Dutch MOOC is to stimulate, coordinate and do quality control on the new MOOC's. New MOOC's are Research Methods: Solid Science and four other related methodological courses that form together a Specialization on the Coursera Platform. New MOOC's in the making come from Sociology and various MOOC's outside the FMG Faculty.

StartupPush (www.startuppush.com) is een incubator voor studenten, alumni en anderen die samen met anderen een eigen startup willen proberen op te zetten. Na een intensieve training worden teams samengesteld en toetsen de deelnemers startup ideeën aan de doelgroep. Ze passen de ideeën aan tot ze een verkoopbaar product hebben. Is er een goede combinatie van een dynamisch team en een verkoopbaar product, dan wordt een bedrijf opgericht. StartupPush wordt ondersteund door de Faculteit der Sociale en Gedragswetenschappen en de Graduate School Communication Science van de Universiteit van Amsterdam.StartupPush Summer Sprint is een zomerprogramma van drie maanden voor individuele studenten, alumni en anderen. De tijdbesteding is vier dagen per week. Na de intensieve training worden deelnemers geselecteerd die aan het vervolg meedoen. Er worden vervolgens teams geformeerd rond kansrijke startup ideeën. De teams ontwikkelen de ideeën door ze op wetenschappelijke wijze te toetsen aan de doelgroep en de ideeën te pivotten tot verkoopbare proposities. Vervolgens ontwikkelen de teams een minimal viable product en 'verkopen' hun service of product aan hun doelgroep. De startups die dit lukt krijgen de meerderheid van de aandelen van een nieuw op te richten bedrijf mee.De unieke methodiek van StartupPush is gevalideerd in 2013 en zeer succesvol gebleken. Drie van de vier startups bestaan nog en 1 startup draait mee in de StartupBootCamp accellerator. De Summer Sprint variant is verder geëvolueerd, maar behoudt dezelfde aanpak van 1. attitude verandering, 2. toetsing aan de markt en 3. ontwikkelen van een echt schaalbaar product.
