In two beautiful villages in the 'Green Heart of Holland': Goudriaan and Ottoland, I serve as pastor: leading weekly services, teaching youth groups, offering pastoral care, developing new missionary strategies in a rural context and exploring new ways to engage teenagers, students and young adults in faith and church life.

For almost 7 years I worked as a pastor at Maastricht University on behalf of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN). My main goals were to set up various (social, cultural, intercultural and religious) activities for students: courses, debates, international student services, get-togethers.

With many volunteers I founded and coordinated the 'Refugee Project Maastricht'. This project aims at engaging students in offering practical support to, and building relationships with refugees in Maastricht.Currently, over 300 students are involved in six sub-projects: a buddy-system, family, support, language teaching, translation, sports programs and social events for students and refugees. The project is partly funded by Gemeente Maastricht, and partly funded by the Student Services Centre of Maastricht University.
