With a double major in Supply Chain Management and Marketing, and early internship and work experience in both areas, my background is diverse in terms of business functions. This assisted in achieving success within my present role. My current position as Analyst, Inventory Management has allowed me to further expand my knowledge base, and work cross-functionally with other areas of the business including Finance, Planning, and Buying. This role has given me the opportunity to sharpen and grow my Data Analytics and Supply Chain skills most significantly. I have been the go-to team member in terms of developing ad hoc and long-term reporting, through the utilization of tools such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Microstrategy. Additionally, I have regularly placed an average of $2.3 million (retail) dollars in weekly warehouse replenishment orders for our HBC business. Over the years, I have also been entrusted with additional responsibilities including placing warehouse replenishment orders for the baby paper consumables area of the business, as well as, acting as the liaison between our Warehouse Replenishment department and Finance, maintaining our weekly projections, through collaborating with other team members. My role at Bed Bath & Beyond has proven my desire to learn, ability to handle responsibilities as they are given to me, and my aptitude for learning systems and developing ad hoc reports. The hands-on aspects of the job, whether it is developing reports from scratch, or placing orders for physical products that I can later see on a store shelf, have always felt most appealing to me. Seeing the tangible results of my work and efforts makes supply chain and data analysis rewarding to me.
