Guest Relations Ambassadors are instrumental in facilitating a seamless and joyful visit for all Shedd guests. Ambassadors are posted throughout the operation with the goal of removing barriers to guests looking nature in the eye. Examples include: selling tickets, greeting guests, scanning tickets, sharing animal facts, and wayfinding. Depending on the need, some posts are located outside of the building. All team members act as role models for outstanding customer-service standards within the department and the aquarium.

The Programming Assistant works closely with the programmer of the Chicago International Children's Film Festival to coordinate Festival submissions, review entries, and develop and execute film screenings, educational materials, juries, and special events.

The Photography/ Videography intern reports to Managing Director and is responsible for promoting the Obioma through photo and/or video obtained through events and photo/video shoots. The position will include focus on photography and/or videography to support overall brand and mission of Obioma Fashion. Get real world experience recording or taking pictures during fashion shows, photo/video shoots and events. Practice your editing skills with us as well.

As at other retailers, cashiers spend time ringing up customer orders and handling various forms of payment. Cashiers must learn to operate computerized register systems and apply various store policies regarding returns and exchanges. Other job duties include helping customers choose different fabrics, offering creative suggestions, and assisting with any arts and crafts ideas.

The Farrell Fellows Program is an internship program aimed at providing a real world, work-based experience for youth between 16 and 22. Selected interns will be assigned to one department and work directly with leaders in the Museum on projects and programs that directly serve our guests and visitors. We will also provide professional development sessions and opportunities for the interns to gather to share their experiences.
