I am passionate about teaching and committed to promoting diversity in the educational environment. I participated in the Pedagogical Residency Program provided by CAPES, through the Federal University of São João del Rei, in the History Teaching course. During this program, I acted as a mediator, creator of educational projects and games, as well as fulfilling the role of a teacher in partner schools: Cônego Oswaldo Lustosa State School and Pio XII Municipal School. In collaboration with colleagues and mentors, we developed innovative didactic materials to enrich students' learning. These materials were designed to reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of our country, encouraging a broader and more inclusive understanding of history and national identity.Additionally, I sought to make classes more dynamic and engaging by incorporating online games and other interactive tools. These approaches not only kept students engaged but also facilitated the understanding of complex concepts in an accessible and enjoyable manner.Recognizing the importance of dialogue on issues of race, gender, and class in education, I organized and conducted inspiring lectures for students and colleagues. These lectures explored the significant contribution of Afro-descendant peoples to the formation of our national identity, encouraging critical reflection on diversity and mutual respect, as well as addressing the importance of combating moral and sexual harassment within schools. As a result of our experiences during the pedagogical residency, we authored two academic articles that reflect our innovative practices and reflections on promoting diversity in education. These articles contribute to the continuous development of the educational field and highlight our commitment to improving teaching and learning.
