Ariel Simpson earned her degree in Broadcast Journalism with a certificate in Sports Journalism from the John Curley Center at Penn State University.Following graduation, she began covering college sports for The Philadelphia Inquirer--attending live sporting events and developing instant analysis and enterprise stories. Outside of The Philadelphia Inquirer, she is a Producer for SiriusXM Fight Nation--producing shows with hosts such as former pro wrestlers: Mark Henry, Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer as well as Dave LaGreca; UFC fighters and analysts: Anthony Smith, Angela Hill, Din Thomas, RJ Clifford and Ryan McKinnell as well as Jimmy Smith. Before graduating, Ariel was an on-air personality host for CommRadio where she was the co-founder of the very first—and only—all-female NFL talk show at PSU, Gridiron Girls.​Ariel was also the sports editor for a student-run multimedia outlet, The Underground.Within television, Ariel was a reporter/ anchor for Penn State's Emmy award-winning newscast Centre County Report.Her piece "Minorities in Coaching: Where Does Pennsylvania Stand?" won first place in the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Award for In-Depth Television ReportingAriel was also a producer for State College's ESPN Radio 1450.Outside of her radio and writing experience, she was a reporter/ anchor for Penn State's Emmy award-winning newscast Centre County Report.
