Ari Tarr is an immersive actor/director/designer trained in physical theater, french mime and mask, puppetry, multimedia theater, who began his career touring regionally and off Broadway. He went on to work as an experiential marketing performer and and designer for brands that include Google, Facebook, Twitter and Disney. In 2015 Ari co-founded a startup creating tools for live XR production as part of the worlds first VC accelerator to accept VR startups with early VR clients that included JauntVR, Occipital and UploadVR. He continued as an XR content producer for River VR Studios with clients that included High Fidelity and Bjork, and went on to create VR environments for live therapy with med-tech startups. Ari has been the VR event consultant and lead host for the multi-award winning Adventure Lab and the WebXR event company Active Replica, and is currently the lead actor with the company Agile Lens. His work has been featured in the New York Times, NBC, Forbes and Vice. He has taught XR theater at NYU Tisch and currently teaches VR live storytelling at York University and Brooklyn College, and he has been called the “Original Ractor” by Jason Moore, creator of the Metamovie
