As a test prep tutor, I created customized lesson plans and implement actionable goals for each student. I aimed to not only foster success on tests such as the SAT and ACT, but also to engender strong executive functioning and critical thinking skills that will benefit students for the entirety of their educational careers.

As an intern for Spin, I researched, wrote, and published news articles; transcribed interviews and helped in maintaining a constant social media presence.

In this role I created original copy and graphic designs for social media, publications, and events. I worked with the Communications staff to execute from start to finish social media campaigns to promote the Center's issues and advocacy efforts.

As a Farrell Fellow, I worked with Professor Sara Monoson to update and maintain the Classicizing Chicago Project, an interdisciplinary effort to collect and analyze the many ways in which Chicagoans have embraced classical antiquity in their modern lives. Projects include: Spike Lee's Chiraq, based off of Aristophanes' Lysistrata; an ongoing history of university and Chicago neoclassical architecture.

As an intern for Impose, I led a social media campaign across multiple platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr, to increase site visits and improve Impose's overall online presence. I also assisted with photo editing and preparation of interviews for the site. As social media manager, I directed all social media for Impose and related accounts (Dead Labour Records).

At The Chris Gethard Show, I was in charge of preparing various production materials for the weekly show, preparing various guests for the show, assisting writers with research for the show, and operating phone lines during live broadcasts.

As an intern for Splitsider, I drafted weekly emails for Splitsider's subscribers detailing the biggest news on the site each week, prepared the weekly "This Week in Comedy Podcast" posts, prepared interviews with various comedians for the site, pitched and wrote articles promoting various comedy-related products, such as DVDs or books, as part of Splitsider's partnership with Amazon, and managed Splitsider's Tumblr account daily.

At BrooklynVegan, I covered local music and comedy events in the New York area. I was tasked with maintaining an updated calendar of such events for the site's "What's Going On Today?" posts, as well as with writing articles promoting and reviewing local music and arts. I increased BrooklynVegan's presence in the New York comedy scene through consistent coverage of local events on Instagram and Twitter, as well as longer coverage on the site itself.

At PATV, I produced, directed, wrote, filmed, and acted in various public access television programs.

Amy Poehler's Smart Girls is a website designed to inspire and empower women of all ages through personal testimonials, creative ideas, and thought-provoking discussions. As a contributor, I wrote articles to voice my opinion on topics ranging from gun safety in high schools to examples of feminism on television.
