● Collaborates with diverse stakeholders (including Indigenous communities) to design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, evidence-based quality improvement and health promotion programs for people living with chronic pain using a strengths-based and health equity lens. ● Utilized community engagement and project coordination skills to support the development and evaluation of a pain self-management class series for marginalized communities, including a group for youth. ● Leads the delivery of the BC ECHO for Chronic Pain, a virtual community of practice for healthcare providers, including booking speakers, communicating with the clinical advisory team, securing accreditation, and producing evaluation reports. ● Designs and delivers webinars and education sessions to healthcare providers and the general public about chronic pain with the goal of increasing awareness of this complex public health issue and connecting people living with pain to resources.

I work with editors and authors to provide detailed, thoughtful feedback on the representation of LGBTQ2S+ characters in literature. Recent clients include Tundra Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House Canada.

In collaboration with the Executive Director, successfully implemented a rebrand of the organization in Winter 2018, including designing and printing new marketing materials and updating the organization’s website. Utilized my communication, organization, and fundraising skills to successfully raise $64,000 for organization during the organization’s first ever direct mail campaign, and additional $30,000 through private foundation grants. Work with LDS staff and board to educate the public about Learning Disabilities, how they are diagnosed, what supports are available at school, and more.

Assisted with the execution of marketing plans for the annual Vancouver Writers Fest, Incite free reading series, and special events, including social media, writing e-newsletters, graphic design, and coordinating the production of the Festival program guide.Under the direction of the Development Director, coordinated benefits for individual donors and sponsors of the Festival--including booking reserved seating, creating sponsor splash signage, and coordinating signed books--thus fulfilling sponsor agreements and securing their continued support.Coordinated all logistics of A Dram Come True, an annual scotch-tasting fundraiser, including managing volunteers, liaising with sponsors, and providing on-site event management.

Planned and executed all logistical needs for Growing Room, Room magazine’s inaugural literary festival (March 8-12th, 2017), including booking venues, scheduling events, securing accommodations for authors, coordinating book sales and a book/media fair.Collaborated with presenting writers and a programming committee to curate and facilitate the production of 25 unique, relevant and accessible panels and workshops.Served as liaison between Room and the festival’s community partners, including the Vancouver Public Library, and oversaw the production of 3 satellite events. Collaborated with Room’s Managing Director and Publisher to execute festival plans and keep the project under budget, including providing a comprehensive final report.

Utilized my attention to detail while providing logistical and customer service assistance with ticket and merchandise sales during the 2014 Talking Stick Festival, thereby ensuring the satisfaction of both customers and the producers.Further developed writing skills by contributing to the preparation of 5+ grant applications and final reports by preparing support letters, proof-reading grant text, and writing cover letters, resulting in increased funding for Full Circle’s programming.
