Network Engineer • Technical lead on the installation of a brand new world-class wireless network for MGM resorts international and Mobilitie. To include up to 2500 wireless access points (Cisco 3500’s), 150 access switches (3750’s, 3560’s), 8 distribution switches (4507’s) and 2 Cisco Nexus 7010 core switches. This includes all testing of Layer 1, 2, and 3. Then all RF Validation testing of the built network to meet Customer requirements for a High Density wireless deployment. • Created the design for the core data center deployment and oversaw the installation of the data center core. • Lead a team of 4 Network techs, 1 Network Engineer, and ensured they are properly trained on all switch and access point installation and testing procedures for Layer 1, 2, and 3 plus RF validation testing. • Wrote the procedures to track all incoming epuipment and installation of network equipment in the hotels. • Created the initial configurations for all switches and wireless controllers as well as the daily schedules for the deployment of all hotel switches.

Installed routers, switches, VPN, modems, CAT V Ethernet, Fiber, W2K servers and configured network encryption devices supporting all Air Force network users in Turkey.Supervised up to 14 personnel on varying shifts.Performed training and support functions, including specialized telephone and on-site customer assistance. Taught monthly classes in Basic IT skills and troubleshooting for up to 30 customers per session.Accomplishments:Managed a short notice deployment, playing a vital role in the design of the network architecture for Izmir Air Station when it was forced to relocate due to security threats. Reestablished service to 140+ desktops in three days from the ground up. Reestablished connectivity to the Air Force Global infrastructure Grid using the first ever Cisco VPN on a US Air force European base. Oversaw and led the redesign and upgrade of the 39th Air Base Group's Local Area Network architecture from 200 on base local T1 modem copper circuits to a Fiber Gigabit Ethernet backbone. This included configuring and installing CISCO 35XX, 4000, and 65XX switches and routers to replace the outdated hubs and switches in place. Which resulted in base connectivity being increased from at max 1meg connections per building to Gigabit building connections.
