Muhammad Ariful Islam is an energetic, dedicated and enthusiastic youth whose passion is to work for the people and the society. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) through 24th BCS. He worked at Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Rajbari for three years and four months as Assistant Commissioner & Magistrate from July 2005 to October 208. Then he went to Shariatpur to work at Office of the Deputy Commissioner and worked as Assistant Commissioner & Executive Magistrate. Then he went to Khagrachhori Hill District to work as Assistant Commissioner (Land) at Upazila Land Office there. Then he went to Naogaon to work as Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) at Niamatpur there. Then he went to Dhaka to join a Master course on Governance and Development at Institute of Governance Studies; BRAC University. After doing the master he worked as Executive Magistrate (Senior Assistant Secretary), in Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Then he went to Brahmanbaria to work as Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) at Kasba there. Then he went to Sherpur to work as Additional District Magistrate (ADM). Then he went to Netrokona to work as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and still working there. In the month of October, 2018 He got promotion as deputy Secretary to the government. He wants to lead Bangladesh as a civil bureaucrat.Mr. Arif attended a training course on Hi-Tech park management in Thailand. He participated a workshop on 'Disaster Risk Reduction' in Yokohama, Japan. He attended the workshop on civil service change management at Korea Development Institute’s KDI School in Seoul, Korea. He worked there actively with other participants. He also attended another workshop at Open University; Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
