The Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade is focused on strengthening Ontario's economy through job creation, investment promotion, growing industry clusters and forging business partnerships with industry stakeholders. The overall mandate for the Advanced Technologies Branch is to strengthen the economic advantage of Ontario's Financial Services (Fintech), Cybersecurity, Business Services, Digital Health, RetailTech, Logistics, Blockchain, Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and Life Sciences sectors. The team is responsible for sector analysis, strategy development, stakeholder management and foreign & domestic investment activities for these R&D-intensive industries in support of Ontario's economic growth objectives. Here are some things I did while holding the position:• Restructured sector-related briefing decks focusing on Digital Health, FinTech, Business Services, Blockchain, Cybersecurity and Venture Capital through primary and secondary research • Prepared weekly newsletters focusing on the latest news and reports for the Ontario Life Science industry• Simplified the procedure of documentation, payment, and storage of monthly telecommunications invoices for employees with the use of Microsoft of Excel and SharePoint
