Easynet, London, UK.Incident Management Engineer:Working in Easynet as a second line Network Engineer, providing technical support to our clients, isolating/resolving faults in customer premises routers/switches, local exchange, Cisco MPLS infrastructure. Identify the source of the problem: service down/packet loss/latency/Intermittent connectivity issue, take the ownership of the fault and work towards the resolution. • Troubleshooting CPE on LAN, WAN, IGP: RIP v2, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, Virtual LAN, STP, ACL, NAT, HSRP, VRRP, DHCP, IPv6 and IP telephony: SIP trunking.• Investigating core routers and switches in local and international pops for MPLS, Pseudowires, IPVPN, Frame relay, BGP, vrf, QoS: Policy map, Load balancing, IPsec tunnel. Check Radius server for authentication. Troubleshooting VNOC incidents on codecs.• Change/update configuration in Stinger, DSLAM/ML1300 in the exchange: for agreed Bandwidth, Noise-margin, Attenuation, Bridge configuration.• Co-op with remote engineer to perform various tests in exchange/Easynet pop/customer premises on ADSL/SDSL/Bonded DSL, voice and data circuits; replace Cisco/Actelis equipment if needed.• Responsibility includes Client Management: Providing network availability report, joining weekly/monthly conference call with premium customers to discuss about current network incidents.Achievements:• Dedicated IM engineer for one of our major clients for their VoIP/SIP trunking and MPLS service for about 300 different sites. All incidents within these sites are escalated to me straight away.• Provided training on fault isolation in Cisco CPE/PE/core routers to the Service Desk team of 29 engineers while moving Service Desk functionality from London to Shepton Mallet.• Worked in Spectrum project for alarms and traps in Cisco core routers. Goal was to make a report/guide on how to manage these incidents.• Enhanced my career development by increasing technical knowledge of core MPLS backbone, QoS and IP routing.
