The passion lies deep in the practice of sustainability in product design. On the surface, that passion intrigued me to work with design processes, human factors, usability, and user-centric design. I traveled from wearables to autonomous vehicles, learned and practiced quantitative-qualitative-mixed method participatory research, and experienced the need for a universal approach to making useful designs. I learned anthropometry, 3D scanning, behavioral and cognitive human factors, biomechanics, and ergonomics to understand the design and need. My 7 years of industry experience, particularly in user-centered design, product development, and business development pursued me to provide design solutions that mean business. Being a divergent thinker attracted to new and 3D technologies, and developing methods to compare user experiences and engage in challenges to overcome the seen and future problems, I am working with autonomous vehicles and universal design at the University at Buffalo.My research interest lies in understanding the variability in human structure, function, and behavior to understand product needs and priorities for vulnerable users. The goal is to use that knowledge to generate ideas for product designers and developers to make their products effective and useful for every human being.
