Lead a team of 11 full-time staff and hundreds of casual student staff that deliver high quality experiences in our spaces and at our events highlighting the black and gold. Playing an active role in capital facility development of over $60 million in facilities in the building of SLC/PAC renovation and expansion and the CIF Field House.

Responsible for safe and efficient equipment operations for overnight camp property including maintenance, kitchen, health centre as well as activity areas (full waterfront and land). The residential property holds 300 campers across over 35 cabins in addition to numerous others. Training & coordination of 150 staff in day-to-day camp operations as well as ongoing review of emergency procedures. Work with government and regional inspectors to ensure compliance in all regulatory conditions. In addition to the camp responsibilities, I work with rental groups in off-season operation to ensure a strong experience when on site.Work with owners/directors for recommendations for equipment/staffing on a go forward basis and assist in planning in order to allow the property and the camp operation to run effectively.Started working on the waterfront within the sail program before annual promotions to running the waterfront and then the above noted responsibilities.

Previous job (Manager, Communications & Business Operations) reassessed and includes additional responsibilities within the financial management of the Department of Athletics and Recreation operating and project budgets. Responsible for advising Director and staff re financial positioning and a lead in the budget development process. Total operating budget is close to $4.5 million in spend and over one third was offset by departmentally generated revenues. In addition strategic direction for ticketing, marketing has become a focus for the department to assist in revenue generation. Managed four full time staff including the areas of communication, marketing, sponsorship, web/technology, varsity event execution and major fundraising events.

Elected as Staff representative to the University's Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is responsible for the government of the university and the control of its property and revenues.The conduct of its business and affairs, except with respect to matters assigned by the Act to Senate, is vested in the Board of Governors.The Board has all the powers necessary or convenient to perform its duties and to achieve the objectives of the university. In addition to board responsibilities I've been apart of several committees including; Audit & Compliance, Building &Property, Development and Human Resources & Compensation.

Increase the awareness and efficiency of the department of Athletics and Recreation through more effective use of marketing, communications and sponsorship. In addition to working with my team to develop the image and experience of the department on the varsity side, I have been working to strengthen the reporting and tracking of A/R as well as cash handling from the various operations within the department. Efficiencies have been created in various areas (for example using the web to collect payment) in order to make up for insufficient people resources.

First full time continuing staff member at Wilfrid Laurier University to work specifically within communications and sport promotion for the department of athletics and recreation. Specific focus was on developing web communications and strengthen relationships with media in order to communicate and promote the stories of Golden Hawk athletes and programs. Responsible for graphic design, desktop publishing, departmental branding as well as statistics and photography for the department's operations. Hired and worked with a student staff team of approx 5 on an annual basis. Due to limited resources, effective use of resources was critical in being able to complete tasks to support Laurier's 21 teams.
