The BCW India Group, which includes Genesis BCW and Six Degrees BCW, is among the top 2 in the country.As CCO, my role is to oversee key client relationships of the firm, ensure excellence in service delivery and provide strategic counsel to CXOs on positioning, narrative, issues and crisis, stakeholder insights, etc. I work with market leading multinational and Indian companies in financial services, telecoms, information technology, pharmaceuticals, aviation and diversified industrials. I am also a member of the BCW India Group Management Team that oversees the operating companies of BCW in India.

Between January 2020 to August 2021 I had two short stints as Head of Communications at two Indian family-run groups, both #1 in their respective sectors.

I wore multiple hats at Reliance, with responsibilities for external and internal communications for the financial services business, and Group Social Media and Group CSR for the whole of the Anil Ambani Group.

As a member of BofAML's country management team, I was responsible for directing the firm's external and internal communications, marketing and CSR agenda in India.

I was responsible for external communications, reputation risk management, internal communications and employee engagement in India and four other markets in the South Asia region. I was part of the core project steering committee for Standard Chartered PLC's listing in India through issuance of IDRs, and managed all aspects of communications from issue marketing to advertising to PR.

I was the chief media spokesperson for the Group and was responsible for managing the external profile/media engagements of Group CEO, CFO and key members of the Group Management Committee. I led communications for key corporate action (financial results, M&A announcements) which include among others: - the $2.7 bn rights issue in 2008, at the height of the financial crisis- acquisition of Cazenove Asia from JP Morgan- bolt-on acquisitions in Brazil, Korea, Taiwan, India and divestitures in Europe

I was hired to bring about a significant change in the bank's external profile in India, which I did and was rewarded with my next role as Group Head of Media Relations based in London within just two years of joining the firm.

I was a partner responsible for the Corporate & Financial pratice in Mumbai. Worked with Temasek (following its India entry), Standard & Poor's (on its acquisition of Crisil), Kotak Mahindra Group (after it received a banking licence and on its split with Goldman Sachs), The Boston Consulting Group etc.

I built the team from scratch - after a massive exodus of journalists to dotcoms in 2000 - into the largest in the newspaper's network. Personally responsible for the covering India's largest conglomerates, primarily the Tata Group and the Aditya Birla Group.

After starting my career in Calcutta in 1995, I moved to Mumbai in January of 1997. During this period, I coveredl India's largest conglomerates, and reported on most industries from telecoms to energy, from FMCG to autos.
