    I started my job at Maximus Oy (PLC) as a recruitment consultant at the end of April, and my first task was to learn the different stages of the recruitment process with the guidance of my managers. The orientation was given by chief executive officer Sami Reinikka, and the team leader of the recruitment department Samuli Salo. I was comprehensively instructed on daily training events, and I was able to apply what I had learned extensively. The task of a recruitment consultant is challenging because one has to be able to find the most suitable and productive employees among the group of professionals within that area of expertise. During the month of working as a recruitment consultant, I conducted approximately 50 interviews, signed 30 new contracts of employment, published and updated over 100 job advertisements on the website of both Mol (job advertisements by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy) and Maximus, organized five different recruitment events for vocational and engineering students, and was assigned by the CEO Sami Reinikka to bring out ideas for enhancing the company's internal communication between the departments of human resources and recruitment. At a Maximus staff training event, I gave a presentation of approximately 45 minutes on different solutions for breaking down problems within the company's internal processes. I was given more responsibilities each day, and I was able to realize my plans for improving the recruitment process. During the last week, before being reassigned as a personnel consultant, I was given the task of training the new recruitment consultant Hannele Korppi, who had transferred from ISS to Maximus under the title of recruitment manager.
