About Arik Hanson

I am an independent social media consultant for mid-sized and large companies. With more than 25 years experience in marketing and communications, I have helped more than 70 companies achieve results through social media and digital marketing over the last 15+ years. I am a social media power user, an award-winning marketer, and an early adopter. My social media blog, which I founded in 2008, now has more than 1,500 published posts and is one of the longest-running blogs in the industry. The Hanson & Hunt Podcast, which I co-host with General Mills' Kevin Hunt, now has more than 175 episodes in the can and is one of the longest-running social media podcasts in Minnesota.I'm also an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota where I've been teaching classes in social media and digital marketing since 2019.
