Marie Stopes is the leading provider of Family planning and ReproductiveHealth services in Uganda. As the SBCC Lead, I oversee projects supported or funded by FCDO, UNFPA, USAID, WORLD BANK, DANIDA, WELL SPRING and AMPLIFY CHANGE.Under the SBCC function,  I lead a team of 22 direct reports driving demand generation and SBCC activities in rural Uganda. I developed and implemented the RISE SBCC strategy. I developed and implemented internal and external communication. strategies to promote sharing, learning, and interactive dialogue among staff I build capacity for over 20,000 Community-Based mobilizers and VHTs. I developed the Marie Stopes communications, branding, and media guidelines for each of the projects. I support the development of program proposals and budgets. I collaborate with the MEAL team to develop measurement mechanisms for campaigns and ensure that implementation and impact are effectively monitored and evaluated.Under the Advocacy function I identified advocacy opportunities and targets at local, national, regional, and international levels. I collaborated with partners to define and develop studies and inform advocacy campaigns. I have participated in the development of the SRH bill, adolescent health policy, and the National Health Policy. I participated in building consortiums and SRH movements. I monitored advocacy risks and developed mitigation strategies. I developed evidence-based advocacy messages, documents, and strategies Coordinated high-level advocacy engagements with members of parliament, partners, private sector, and interfaith dialogues at both national and sub-national levels.

 Designed communication strategies for Radio FP champions, VHTs/IPC coordinators, and analysis Led media engagements Documented and strategically disseminated success stories. Strengthened partnerships with radio stations to generate demand for FP services

 Carried out Reproductive Health community sensitization campaigns in liaison with VHTs and local leaders in poor communities. Organized, prepared and conducted radio talk shows on SRH. Ensured excellent collaboration with the District Health teams, NGOs, CBOs and Health Service providers in line with reproductive health services. Ran demand generation campaigns for family planning services in private facilities.

 Developed and managed relationships between advertising clients and Monitor publications. Ensured that advertising clients got value for money when running their adverts in the Daily Monitor. Coordinated the media activities between the clients and Monitor publications & KFM journalists. Conducted sales &marketing for advertising space in the Daily Monitor for over 15 corporate & SME organizations.

 Conducted baseline survey on the integration of ICT in Education in primary & secondary schools in Uganda. Trained over 800 students and teachers on how to maintain Local Area Networks in the computer laboratory. Conducted TOT for teachers from over 100 primary and secondary schools from all regions in Uganda in ICT. Trained over 50 district local government officials on computer application and how to communicate and report using email.
