Passionate about technology I always wanted to see how stuff works under the hood, especially electronics.So, after my Bachelor’s in Electronics and Telecommunications, I decided to take it a step further and got my Master’s degree in VLSI Design to get a deeper understanding of how microchips are designed and how do they work.To get further in-depth practical knowledge in VLSI Design I took up a professional training program to sharpen my skills and get even better understanding based on actual industry practices. It was fruitful, however as luck would have it, it did not pan out into a career or got me a foot in the door in the Chip design industry.My second choice of career was and is Network/Cyber Security Engineering. Here as well you get to see under the hood. See and control how data gets from A to B and deliver it most efficiently and securely.Not the one to back down, I re-skilled myself by studying and training in Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification (CCNA).My perseverance paid off and I finally got my foot in the door in Network Engineering as an Intern (EMEA Networks) at Sykes Enterprises Inc.This internship has now blossomed into a full-time career as Sykes decided to promote me from an Intern and take me on board full time as a Junior Network Engineer.I am currently focused absorbing all knowledge that comes my way as a sponge, working towards achieving the CCNA certification, and putting in as much work as I can to have a fruitful career with Sykes and progress further on the path of Network Engineering.The rest is yet to be written.
