Interviewer

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

The role of Interviewer requires me to interview business owners and managers to gather vital statistical employment and economic information that is used by Statistics Canada to produce the monthly employment numbers they release monthly. The role requires a high degree of diplomacy and interpersonal savvy to rapidly build trust with whom you are asking to receive sensitive information about their business's performance. I would then correlate the information in my reports for further analysis.

Achievements• I am most proud of how quickly I was able to remotely receive my own training and then assemble, train and lead my own high performing team all in deadlines measured in days. This success lead to my team hitting or exceeding all Census KPI’s, such as percentage of completed forms, 2-3 weeks before expectations (and before other Crew Leaders) and sustained from Week 2 of the project until its conclusion in Week 20. This success also afforded me the opportunity to temporarily transfer my work to another part of the province to help drive results there as well. I really enjoyed the fast paced nature of this work after the long months of Covid.
