I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Spanish from the University of Colorado Boulder. I also minored in geography, with a focus on GIS, and completed certificates in Latin American studies and the Peace Corps Prep Program. I also spent a semester abroad at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain, where I improved my Spanish language skills and learned about the culture and history of the region. Currently, I am searching for a full-time job where I can apply my passion, knowledge, and experiences in the environment, education, and community development to help others and encourage conservation.In my most recent job, I was a Science Educator at the Mount St. Helens Institute, where I facilitated meaningful experiences for our guests, especially youth, in the outdoors. As a Science Educator, I led hikes and other educational activities, helped students build confidence and a sense of belonging in the outdoors, and shared my enthusiasm for this incredible place with our guests. I primarily worked with youth ages 6-18, their families, and teachers, and I enjoyed inspiring them to learn more about the natural world and their role in it. I also have experience working with an indigenous group called the Maijuna in the Peruvian Amazon, as an intern with OnePlanet NGO, where I assisted with community organization and well-being, biocultural conservation, and sustainable development. In addition, I have worked as an instructor for both Avid4 Adventure and the CU Outdoor Program, where I taught outdoor skills and led trips to children and college-aged students. I have skills in program coordination, logistics, Google Workspace, Canva, and Microsoft Office, as well as WFR and TEFL certifications. I am passionate about environmental education, cross-cultural communication, and social justice, and I would love to bring my diverse perspectives and experiences to your team.
