A physicist and a magnetic resonance spectroscopist cum method developer. I am running an independent research group in the department of chemistry at NISER, Bhubaneswar. During my post-doctoral studies in SUNY Buffalo, NY I worked on methodology development for NMR studies of proteins. Teaching/training is an important part of the present job. Currently, I teach quantum mechanics – basic theory and applications, advanced quantum mechanics - self-consistent field methods, the theory of NMR pulse programming and magnetic resonance theory, mathematical methods, statistical mechanics, and Electronics laboratory.Beyond academics, I was the chief coordinator of the committee that organized NEST between 2013 and 2017. NEST is the all-India entrance test for the undergraduate program of NISER participated by more than 70000 candidates. Currently, I head the high field NMR central instrument facility at NISER.
