UIMS is a non-profit organisation based in the Czech Republic. We are a national collaborative network connecting to bridge ties between the 8 international medical schools in the country. UIMS board members all bring experiences from being a part of their university student organisations. We currently represent Charles University 1st faculty (LF1 Medsoc), Charles University 2nd faculty (AIMS), Charles University 3rd faculty (EC Trimed), Charles University Pilsen (ISMAP), Charles University Hradec Králové (ISU), Masaryk University (MIMSA), Palacky University (PEPA) and Ostrava University medical faculty.

I had been elected to be the President of our student union, PEPA (Palacký English Programme Association) at the UP Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. It consisted of representing my Uni as a student body and chairing regular meetings with a team of 13 committee members under me. We made sure that many student events during the year took place and that any problems or queries, regarding student life or the course, were to be heard & dealt with if needed.

I had been chosen by my peers to become the sole Student Representative for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year consecutively as I've progressed through the course of Medicine.With this role, under our student-union PEPA, I helped organise events to be held throughout the year e.g. Orientation/Freshers Week, Sport competitions, Medic/Dentist Ball etc. Any questions, problems or suggestions in those perspective years from students were channeled to me to bring forward to the committee in order to help improve/solve course/accom problems if needs be.
