Leading a dynamic team of community development professionals in Community Engagement, Consumer Affairs, Fair Housing, Financial Empowerment, and Middle Neighborhoods Initiatives within the Department of Community Development.

Teaching Cleveland connects educators, youth, and community members to the city’s history and provides a collaborative forum for examining and addressing the current challenges facing Greater Cleveland. By creating opportunities for learning, we foster investment in our communities that promotes change, develops cultural understanding, and inspires civic engagement.

Served as Senior Director for Community Education, connecting schools and families with educational opportunities in University Circle. Within the organization, I managed strategic efforts in community outreach and institutional advancement, and drove a district-wide agenda that emphasized equity, access, and countering the effects of systemic racism on education outcomes in the surrounding neighborhoods. Externally, I managed a network of institutional and community partners as we worked to advance educational equity and the sustainability of the region’s arts and culture sector.

Managed a two-year pilot for Empower Cleveland Youth, a summer leadership program for Cleveland Youth focused on mentoring and career exploration.

Managed development of RITE's portfolio of High School Programs, which focus on diverse IT talent attraction and development in Northeast Ohio. Developed a new career exploration and training program promoting IT career choices.

Curriculum development for Adventures in Health Science and Medicine (AHSM), a distance learning program focused on science concepts and Allied Health Careers, that went on to earn the USDLA Innovation Award (K-12) For Excellence in Distance Learning.

Bard Early College Cleveland is an early college high school serving students in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, providing college-level instruction, awarding both Associate of Arts Degrees and diplomas to its graduates. As a building-level administrator, I supported students' academic work through a holistic approach to student services and activities; advocated for their needs at the district and community level.

CEOs for Cities (now Forward Cities) connects changemakers with the research and knowledge they need to affect change in their communities. Managed relationships with members and foundations, coordinated the planning of the 2013 national meeting in Grand Rapids, Michigan for over 200 attendees.

Connected students with community-based learning experiences within all types of organizations, engaging them in the region's progress and helping them see a future for themselves in the Cleveland area. Served as faculty leader for multiple student council and senior class-sponsored events throughout the year, as well as community service activities and service trips.

Created, scheduled and executed educational programs for schools and teachers, focusing on the region's history, math, and science.
