Supervisor of Project APTAS (Atmospheric Polar Transmission Alignment Satellite), LTU's first student satellite project; APTAS is a 1U CubeSat employing two payload instruments that are being developed with the support of the EISCAT Scientific Association and the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) respectively.

Spaceship EAC is a think-tank to investigate low TRL technologies for supporting the future cislunar space missions as well as Lunar surface activities. Within this framework, my duties were:▪ Supporting the MARVIN project (Multi-purpose Astronaut and Remote Vehicle Interaction) focusing on improving joint robotic and human operations on the Lunar surface. A prototype rover is used as a platform for experimentation on optimising the tools and interfaces required for smooth operations.My work areas for MARVIN included Mechanical Design, Computer Vision, Hardware Integration, Planning Operations and Technical Support.▪ Conducting a feasibility study / proposal for a low mass, tech demo Lunar regolith sintering payload. The goal is to consolidate existing knowledge, advance the system/subsystem TRL and support CDF studies at ESTEC.Software utilised: Autodesk Fusion 360, COMSOL.

In parallel with my MSc studies at Cranfield I volunteered to partake in the fabrication of a 5 kg Lunar Rover prototype to represent the university in the UK National Competition hosted by UKSEDS (Students for Exploration of Space).▪ Assisted in the assembly, integration and testing (mainly functional & structural).▪ Assisted in payload design and compilation of PDR and CDR, gained significant expertise in prototyping and troubleshooting. Software utilised: Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks.
