Arissa Roy is a youth activist ✊🏽children's book author 📕and documentary maker 🎥. She founded 'Project Power Global', an international organization that advocates for global education equity at the age of 14, and leads a team of youth on grassroots, community awareness and policy work initiatives. In September 2022, she was amongst one of the youngest attendees to the Transforming Education Summit during the UNGA77, and in April 2023 she was invited by the president of ECOSOC to participate in the ECOSOC Youth Forum. In 2023, she became a global recipient of the esteemed Diana Award. She has been featured by the Malala Fund, CBC Toronto, Global News, and UNGEI. Arissa has worked with several organisations, including 'Plan International Canada', 'Unsinkable', the 'Canadian Partnership for Women and Children Health', and “Fridays for Future” to champion social justice, mental health, and climate action. Her work has impacted over 50,000 people worldwide, and Arissa's innovative and collaborative approach to problem-solving has made her a young leader in the United Nations SDG 4 space. Currently she is located in Italy attending the United World College of the Adriatic to obtain her high school diploma.
