Aristea Gravou was born and lived in Athens,Greece. She has studied in higher education,programming and networking, europeanculture and civilization and made herpost graduated studies on marketing, drawing,painting and tailoring.Seminars inphotography, make up art and scenography isalso on the education list .After her first studies, she worked in thefinancial sector, for the share capital increasesfield in Eurobank and Prelium stockbrokercompany.Next step is into the design, production andfashion industry, in 2002. She worked as acreative director, sales and productionmanager, styling consultant and costumedesigner in fashion atelier, advertising,magazines, theatre, tv, cinema andcontemporary dance performances.While she was having her own art lab in 2008,under the name of Artisan Art Is A Needshe designed custom made dresses and accessoriesfor both fashion and bridal occasions.She is the onlydesigner in Greece with the biggest collectionin one of a kind hat design series.In 2012 started to work also as an educator inhistory of art, history of cloth and costume, incultural centers of adult lifelong education, asvisual mix media artist, participating in groupexhibitions in Athens and Andros and asexhibition curator for group and one personartist in Andros. From 2014 until today livesand works on Andros island Greece, as adesigner and educator, giving art classes tokids, teens and adults, while from 2015 hasestablished a periodical summer artexhibition with the name Andros Artisanswhere her students and artists from the islandhave the opportunity to show their work of art,inspired from a certain big artist every year.
