A University of Montreal law graduate and member of the Quebec Bar, prior to founding Plūme inc., I was involved in every level of the labour movement. As a Vice-President of an International Union, VP of the Quebec Federation of Labour (FTQ) and Executive VP of one of Quebec’s largest private-sector unions, I had a privileged insight into the inner-workings of the many facets of the Canadian and American Labour movements. In my ten years running a Quebec Union, I also served as co-president of several insurance and pension funds where I worked closely with heads of companies to safeguard pensions while being mindful of the impact of a DB Pension plan on the potential survival of the contributing Employers.I also led industry-wide collective bargaining and brought an end to a culture of striking to succeed. My ability to set a goal and determine a strategy to achieve it is one of my strongest qualities. As a consultant for Plume, I am mindful of Employers’ legal obligations while helping them devise and implement a strategy for sound and positive labour relations in their companies.
