Operating Engineer - 2Nd Class
CurrentOperates a first class district energy plant.• Performs regular preventive maintenance of Steam Power Plant auxiliary equipment• Operates Boilers in accordance with TSSA regulations.• Performs pressurizing, commissioning and de-pressurizing customer steam line and main steam line in a safe and timely manner.• Coordinates/works with technicians or outside contractors and performs other jobs as directed by superiors with focus on Health and Safety.• Performed job functions as per approved safety policies and procedures• Participated with job planning, assessing and site inspections• Communicates information to customers, superior and other department as needed thru sketch and technical knowledge of the Steam Plant• Prepares generation reports, schedules of Shift engineers ,incidents reports and data for billing.• Participates in Health and Safety programs by actively introducing new ideas and following developed programs.• Assists in training new hired operating engineers.
