O&M of electromechanical system at 330 MW Alaknanda Hydro Power Project, Uttarakhand. • Responsible for overall O&M activities of 330 MW hydro project which includes smooth operation of electromechanical systems through SCADA with established work plans and ensure safety of every personnel and environment.• Responsible for leading a group of 25 skilled electricians in electrical maintenance team at power house of the project.• Look after Electrical maintenance and protection system of the entire project. Involved in testing and commissioning of switchgears.• Anchor on-site major breakdown activities, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, design review, critical troubleshooting so as to ensure minimum stoppage of generation and maximum utilization of resources.• Hands on experience in calculation, testing & commissioning of Numerical relays- Micom P123, P127, P343, P541, P633, P741; Siemens 7UT612, 7SJ62 and GE SR-489.• Responsible for Maintenance of heavy electrical equipments : 4 * 82.5 MW Generator (make: BHEL), 106 MVA Power Transformer, 400KV switchyard, 400KV SF6 breaker, Static Excitation System, Electro Hydraulic Governing System, 11KV VCB, Generator and turbine auxiliary maintenance, Generator protection and MAXDNA PLC & SCADA.• Make necessary project maintenance report, annual progress report, inventory, maintain list of critical spares.

 Major role being erection, testing & commissioning of entire electrical system related to the project. Planning, executing and spearheading project involving site administration and resource planning. Anchoring on-site erection activities, handling complete project management cycle thereby ensuring completion of the same within stipulated time and effective resource utilization. Reviewing work progress at site and coordinating with concerned Engineers/Supervisors of the clients and providing technical assistance to the operation division. Continuous interaction with project personnel of different departments to make detailed technical requirements of the materials required for the execution of project. Analysis of designs, SLD, BOQ of project. Making proper work schedule, regular planning and attending meetings with clients. Few major areas involves planning out the location of earth-pits, calculation of earth resistance by earth megger, path of cable layout, making cable schedule, approval of designs of control panels, carrying out inspection of panels and instruments. .

Darjeeling

 Shiftwise O&M of electro-mechanical systems of a 3MW run-off river Hydro Power Project at Lodhama, Dist:Darjeeling (West Bengal). Worked at voltage level upto 33KV. Guiding and leading O&M activities to ensure production targets within stipulated time and cost parameter.  Inspection of control panels e.g., NGT panel, Generator relay & metering panel required for the erection of a new unit.  Generation, Preventive Shutdown, Troubleshooting various technical faults, Design analysis, making Cable Scheduling, Panel Work, Testing, Tri-vector Meter Reading and Analysis, Inspection. Operation and maintenance of Alternator (2 * 1.875 MVA), Pelton Turbine and its auxiliaries, 4MVA(33/6.6KV) Power Transformer, 33KV Switchyard, Relays, SF6 C.B, A.C.B, V.C.B, control panels, excitation system, Cooling System of alternator and turbine, DG set, forebay, desilting tank.  Designing of various electrical and mechanical layouts in AutoCAD. Decision making as per requirement at site, manpower utilization, making maintenance and site activity reports and submission of the same to the head office within the target period.
