I hold a doctorate in Spanish and have served as a teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for seven years. Throughout this time, I have been dedicated to teaching at this institution. In my academic career, I have always aimed to create a relaxed yet highly productive learning environment where my students feel comfortable to participate, share their opinions, and take an active role in the classroom.My extensive experience in teaching various courses, as well as organizing seminars and educational studies, has allowed me to understand the individual needs of different types of students and maximize their abilities and potential. My educational approach is deeply rooted in my commitment to issues of identity and civic learning, a perspective that largely stems from my personal experience as an immigrant in the United States.In my classes, I value and prioritize the inclusion of diverse voices and experiences.
