However I am still working part-time (cherry picking) on a few projects as independent consultant such as:- a research for Fairphone (a Fairtrade telephone, see https://www.fairphone.com/en/) - improving the capacity for advanced, quantitative research of the Tigray Institute of Policy Studies (TIPS, see http://www.tips.gov.et) in Ethiopia - strategic advisor and analyst for the Ministry of Health in the Netherlands from June 2021 - January 2023 mainly focussing on quantitative and qualitative research on Corona outbreaks, vaccine efficiency etc- online training and coaching in datascience (from October 2022) of a group of 7 lecturers of the Polytechnic College Suriname (PTC, https://ptc.edu.sr/) which offers recognized higher professional education (HBO) courses

By its nature (100% e-learning) it opens up opportunities for students in rural areas of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia and other countries in East Africa to enrol in high quality Master programmes. As the first on-line university in the region, the University is proud to be part of the technological revolution in tertiary education. The Uganda country programme of IICD (www.iicd.org) a programme of 21 ongoing projects in the sectors Education, Health, Good Governance and Livelihood opportunities, with 69 centres ) and 3 policy processes. The programme is financially supported by DGIS (Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Hivos, DFID and Cordaid. The main responsibilities of a Country Manager are: The overall management of the programme including the management of the team at IICD (4 team members) and Uganda, facilitating high-level workshops for decision makers (in the terminology of IICD: Round Table workshop), stakeholder analysis, coordination of sector programmes, facilitation of policy trajectories, support in programme formulation (mainly through coaching and advice), monitoring of implementation (at various levels: impact, financial, process), lobbying (especially at political level) and advice/coaching mainly at the level of organisational change and development.
