I worked as a Junior Accountant for a short period of time during the months immediately preceding and following the end of the fiscal year. My duties mostly revolved around data reconciliation and analysis of quantitative information to enable better application of raw data for tax and audit purposes.

Founded and grew a university society with independent finances, leading it to being the second biggest cultural society in a university comprising of more than 30,000 students within a year. Furthermore, as a society leader with my peers, we engaged in multiple humanitarian and community focused projects, which eventually led us to being nominated by the university for their Social Justice Award in 2013.

This being my first role in a professional environment, I learnt about workplace ethics and how to operate in an appropriate and constructive manner. Highlights during my time at MYER included team leader and line manager acting on some suggestions I made about specific under-selling product placements. Furthermore, our department also received personal praise from the Regional Manager for being the most efficient and tidy in the state.
