Graag beziel ik mensen met mijn verhaal om in beweging te komen naar meer vrijheid en groei. Vrijheid van denken endoen als basis voor lef, vertrouwen en creativiteit om dat te doen wat er voor jou het meeste toe doet. Mijn verhaal is een metafoor van wel of niet devrijheid en mogelijkheden opzoeken voor je eigen groei. Ik hou je een spiegel voor: wat wil jijverbeteren of veranderen? Wat houdt je tegen, wat heb je nodig voor die nieuwe realiteit? Freedom got a new dimension for me since I was taken hostage for 607 days inDagestan, Russia. Masked men locked me up in a small space under the ground.It was an ordeal I never expected to live through, but I had to learn how tocope with the new circumstances.I put all my effort to gain back my inner and outer freedom. This meant tofight against fear, to increase my courage, to bond with my principles, toincrease my flexibility and to strenghten my believes, my values anddesires.I also had to bond with my kidnappers. To win their empathy so they wouldstart to improve my conditions.After my release I felt like I got a second chance. I was a survivor not avictim. I managed to keep my inner freedom during my kidnapping, so why notwhile I was free. It became my mission to assist people in their quest for freedom.Freedom to live in a world without fear, but also freedom to choose your ownpath.

Deze kinderen worden mishandeld als ze fouten maken en vaak ook seksueel misbruikt door hun uitbuiters. Een derde groep waar Stop Kindermisbruik zich op richt zijn kinderen die op straat leven en werken. Deze laatste groep loopt het grootste risico om (seksueel) uitgebuit te worden.In Nederland willen we mensen bewust maken van de verschrikkingen die deze kinderen dagelijks moeten ondergaan. Ook Nederlandse bordelen zijn nog niet kindvrij, en daar wil Stop Kindermisbruik, samen met andere organisaties, een vuist tegen maken
